At every official meeting, the national, European and Rotary International flags must be displayed. They are placed behind the head table, to the President's right (so they are clearly visible), in the following order (looking at them from the room, left to right):

  1. Europe
  2. Italy
  3. Rotary International

With foreign guests present:

  1. Europe
  2. Italy
  3. Guest nation
  4. Rotary International

(it is good practice to also display the flag of the guest's home country)

With especially distinguished foreign guests:

  1. Europe
  2. Guest nation
  3. Italy
  4. Rotary International

(the guest nation's flag is placed between the European and Italian flags)

With a local public authority's flag (Region, Province, Municipality...):

  1. Public authority
  2. Italy
  3. Europe
  4. Rotary International
