Rotary has 5 avenues of service:
- Club Service: covers the activities every Rotarian and Rotaractor must undertake within their own club to ensure it runs well.
- Vocational Service: requires every member to act with integrity, to make their skills available to the club, and to recognize the dignity of every occupation useful to spreading the value of service.
- Community Service: identifies and meets local communities' needs through concrete projects, and encourages members to take part in initiatives undertaken by clubs.
- International Service: covers the activities carried out by Rotarians to promote understanding, tolerance and peace among peoples through cooperation, and the international initiatives and projects their clubs promote in support of communities in other nations.
- Youth Service: allows Rotarians and their clubs to leave a positive mark on children and young adults through leadership-development activities, such as taking part in projects and activities.
