alimentiAMO il futuro di Gambo: fighting child malnutrition in Ethiopia

Promoted by Rotaract Districts 2041, 2042 and 2050 (MDIO "Lombardia e Provincia di Piacenza"), alimentiAMO il futuro di Gambo ("Let's feed Gambo's future") is a service designed to fight child malnutrition and support the local community's development in Gambo, Ethiopia. The project takes shape through purchasing and collecting multivitamin supplements at local pharmacies, shipping them to the Gambo General Rural Hospital, and on-the-ground training for local healthcare staff on the correct, effective use of the donated products.

Its goals are:

• Prevent: address the severe nutritional deficiencies caused by inadequate diets.
• Support: help malnourished children return and reintegrate into school.
• Strengthen: build the autonomy and capacity of the beneficiary community to respond to its own priorities.
